The company manufactures, among other things, briquetting and packaging presses, scrap shears, shredders, and sorting plants, which are suitable for a wide range of applications. VDM has more than 230 members from about 700 companies and, therefore, the organization covers about 90 percent of the metal market in Germany and Austria. Besides, the organization’s members also represent numerous companies from other European countries. Members are coming from metallurgical plants and smelters or are traders, recyclers, brokers working for the London Metal Exchange (LME), and other specialists from the metal industry.
